Mariam Al-Thani is the Head of Enterprise Risk Management at Qatar Development Bank (QDB). She graduated with a BSc in Foreign Affairs from Georgetown University School of Foreign Services. Her areas of focus include Operational Risk, Credit Risk, and Strategic Risk. She also has experience in Project Management, leading key risk projects in her organization. She has worked closely with the AlDhameen Credit Guarantee department at QDB and has conducted risk assessments on all credit guarantee programs, developed Minimum Risk Acceptance Criteria (MRACs) to determine the eligibility of MSMEs, and has also been part of the core working group responsible for the proactive monitoring and analysis of the Bank’s portfolio during Covid and classification of its assets.
